Title: newicons won't go translucent
Post by: XDelusion on March 01, 2011, 09:23:02 PM
I'm using Magellan II, dunno if that has anything to do with it, but I selected no border and translucency in NewIcon's Prefs and in the Magellan II Icon prefs, and yet there remain borders and all that.

Are you using OS3.9?

If so goto Preference/Workbench and set "No Icon Border" :)

Steve.

Try disabling all the transparency/noiconborder type patches and settings you have, and give Birdie2000 a go instead. Unlike NewIcons and DOpus Magellan, it flood fills the outside of an icon with the transparency, rather than simply replacing pen 0 with transparency. This means that if you have an icon that uses the medium grey pen somewhere in the image, it won't appear transparent over a background image, only the outsides of the icon will be transparent.

Cammy: I'm just going to have to fly you over here to straighten me out cause I'm still having issues with Shape Shifter, and I can't get Birdie to do a thing.

I read the docs over and over again, added Birdie into my Startup-Sequence as per the instructions, I even put the image files I wanted to use in Birdie's direct path, but still nothing. I don't even get errors from birdie about missing arguments or what ever when booting up.
