Okay, I have some ADF and DMS disk images I'd like to be able to mount on my 2500. My question is, is there a utility to mount disk images that doesn't require half a dozen other libraries to be installed? I suppose I could write them to real disks, but mounting them would be a lot simpler.

I would recommend a combination of adf2fms and hfmounterng (or virtual floppy, but I think it needs MUI and a keyfile).

If they are DOSdisks you could always unpack them to RAD: by using
dms write diskimage.dms TO rad:
I extract adfs with Unadf (it creates a directory named after the disklabel)

I use diskimage.device (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/diskimage), although you do need XAD installed to handle DMS.
Very easy to use with the MUI interface, but you can operate it from the commandline, too.

ADF device. It's the shizz.
