Shwmae Butts! <- (Welsh Lingo!)
I have now upgraded my IDE adaptor from a standard to a Buffered device with the most generous help from CU_AMIGA. Now... Before i break it i already have the old adaptor in and IDEfix installed. Do i need to reinstall it and redetect my devices or can i just swap the adaptors over and go for it?
Cheers chappers

Hi Kevin,
if the new buffered interface is a "EB Standard" one, the setting is the same as the not buffered one.
Only if you own a "Speed-up adapter" from VOB (rare), you must switch to "VOB" in the "IdeFixPrefs-4-Drive Adapter" option.

Hi Kevin,
from IdeFix97 docs:
"Any Adapter we know of are "Elaborate Bytes Style", only exception is the
Speed-Up Adapter from VOB, which works differnt.
Examples of "Elaborate Bytes Style" Adapters are the IDEfix '97 Adapter by
Individual Computers, the AlfaQuattro from AlfaData, the GI-Quattro from
Golden Image, EZ-IDE Adapter from Eyetech, the Winner Adapter from Vesalia,
the 4-Drive Adapter from Micronik.
Unfortunately the RandyROM from MLC, too (grr!).
You can usually leave this setting, even if you don't have such
an Adapter. If you have a VOB SpeedUp Adapter, you MUST set this to VOB!"
That's all :-)
Ciao
