That has to be the cleanest tower conversion I've ever seen. Very professional. Looks like a factory model. I'm surprised you're willing to part with it.

As with most things in life, you gotta prioritise. Right now my kids come first.

It is like mine but you have the Godzilla board in there. As A1200T go, this is pretty much an Ace.

I think that is a fantastic machine.  However, realistically, to get your asking price i'm sure you're gonna have to split it, and sell the parts separately.  You won't find many people willing to part with £1300 / €1500 / $2000 at once on classic hardware these days but there are many people looking to buy hardware to upgrade their existing machines.  Especially that BPPC - that would see the bidding going thought the roof on eBay.

I would not want to split this up. I'd just take you idea and put the whole thing on eBay, watch that bid war go boom!

I don't blame you for wanting to avoid Ebay.  It's a convenient place to sell but it doesn't come cheap.

I sold a mobile phone on there the other day for £300.  When I set up the listing I had to offer Paypal as a method of payment (it was mandatory), and of course the winning bidder chose to pay that way because it was convenient for him.
I got stung £20 for that particular transaction, so I only ended up with £280 in the account.  This took almost 5 days to arrive in my bank account, and then I got stung even further by an Ebay bill of £30 for the auction.   So after all that I'm £50 down on the sale price!!!!

Personally I feel that Ebay charge too much for the use of their auction site.  I can't complain too much because I'm as guilty as paying for it as anyone else is, and as long as we all continue to do so they'll continue ripping us off I guess.  I can't imagine how much money they must be raking in.

Good luck with the sale by the way.  She's a beauty!

Yeah good luck indeed! I cant believe you're selling. I've frequently watched your youtube videos of this machine.

I agree that family and kids come first, but if my son (who is thankfully just 3 years old) wants to go on a ski trip that expensive, I'd tell him to go find a job or stay home :) At least I wouldnt part with my Amiga for that. Then again, that's just my opinion.

Yes I should probably sell a kidney, it would hurt less than selling this miggy ;-)

I think a few more days on the Amiga sites, then it will have to go on ebay.

My parents couldn't afford for me to go on the various ski trips, etc, at school.

Harsh lesson in life for him. Recession and all that. Maybe he could get a paper round, wash cars or do some gardening. At least enough to let you get an FPGAArcade later this year if you do have to sell it now!

Why should it be a harsh lesson,  just becsause it was for you.  Im sure everybody appreciates parenting lessons.

Absolutely beautiful piece of hardware.  As others have said, it looks like a factory job.

Hi all,

I have listed this on ebay.

Still consider private sale before any ebay bids are made.

Tip: Never tell anyone how they should parent their kids.  Especially if you aren't one yourself.

Just awaiting payment....

Transaction complete. My big miggy now has a new user! I hope they treat her right!:(

Well, you had a good price for her! Anyone who is willing to pay that sort of money for a classic Amiga is surely going to "treat her right".  This isn't going to be the sort of person who will use and abuse.  Only a real enthusiast will pay a grand for an old computer.

Still, money well spent for an excellent example if you ask me.

Yep! That's $1600 to you!

I still think it's the right price for that system though.  Obviously it won't be everyone's cup of tea for that money, but for the right person it'll be worth it.  It would cost more than that to put that system together at current hardware resale prices, and that's such a clean example.

Nice.
