I just ordered one of these. I didn't really need it, but I'd never seen one before so I figured I'd give it a try.
Sadly I live in America, so it'll prolly take 10.3 years to get here.

MrMoonlight (a member here) bought one of those last September, unfortunately it wouldn't work with the right mouse button on all of the mice he tried and he couldn't use it for the early startup screen (holding down both buttons at bootup)... :(
He ended up buying a Cocolino adapter which worked fine with all the mice he tried, never figured out if his was just faulty or these particular adapters just don't work properly...
Be interesting to find out how you get on when yours arrives in 10.3 years time... :)

Funny that it's popping up today. I had just decided to make one myself (Arduino based). As I think it will take me at least 6 month before I will have anything working, maybe I should check wether I can get one, too.
Edit: just noticed that it is the wrong way around. I want to use an Amiga mouse as a USB-mouse.

I wonder if you will get it before the Deneb I bought from Northern Ireland a week ago that still hasn't arrived?

The Cololino adapter works a treat with USB Wireless Mice, got three of them myself and could never go back to the old Amiga wired mice... :)

Apparently most people think this way. I have about 18 different mice. Five of them are only for Amigas. The others? Some USB some wireless. Apple, Razer, Logitech, etc. If you prefer simple, big and heavy mice the older models have some appeal. They just don't make them this way anymore.

Hi,
@Franko,
Are you trying to tell us that something made for a PC is better than what Amiga originally made.
GOTTCHA!!!

Hi Smerf... :)
No Chance... it never said specifically on the box that it was made for a PC...
So does that mean that all my HDs, DVD drives, Joysticks, floppy disks, printers, and the new wee stick on rubber feet I've bought are better cos Amiga didn't make them ???
Don't think my non Amiga made joysticks were made for a PC, so no matter who made them therefore doesn't matter and as there not for PCs then it doesn't make them any better or worse... :)
Now what the hell I'm trying to say here doesn't matter either cos I haven't got a scooby doo about what the frig I'm rambling on about here and if anyone knows what I'm gibbering here about send your answer on a postcard to.... :)
I think me med's aren't working anymore, my middle ears just fell off and landed in a nice hot bowl of freezing cold pink soup that tastes like yellow, hello Albert what are you doing up there... :)
Think I need to go lye down now, me head hurts... :(
Wheeeeee

I bought one of those adapters on ebay and it arrived in about a week. In fact, it arrived today and it works very nicely.

WOW, that shipped quick!!! I wonder why some things across seas only take a few days, and most take a month or two?
Anyhow, mine came from Ireland as well. Though it DOES NOT plug into the A600 as promised because of it's shape. Secondly, it works with none of my USB Optical Mice.

Just use a short 9 pin serial cable to connect the adapter to. I use one on my A2000 and it works fine.

I also have a 1200 so I could use this with that.
As for using any sort of extender, those, thus far have only served to disable the right mouse button when used in conjunction with this, my only other means to a mouse on Amiga:

I had to use the dremel tool on it to make it fit and work proper on my 600.

Yeah, it will work with the A1200 also.

You can use Micromys (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=887) or Cocolino (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=88) on the Amiga 600 with our automatic Joystick/Mouse switcher (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=961) which has an Amiga 600 compatible joystick/mouse cable on it (no side lugs).
Hope this helps!

Thankx Amiga Kit.
I have a Micromys but it hates my Atari 8-bit, hates my C64, and will only use the Scroll Wheel mode on my 1200, but not my 600, though my 600 just died last night so it no longer matters anyhow. :(
Anyhow I found a mouse that kind of works with this USB adaptor, though Freewheel does not seem to realize there is a wheel there.
I'm going to write the seller, so if he can resolve these issues, then will post back here.

What's up with the Micromys V4? I see no info on Jen's site about it.
I bought a V3 a few weeks ago, and it works on my A2000 fine, with USB laser mice (actually everything I have tried with it). It also works fine on my C-128, although I had to finesse things a bit to get in on.
