Title: Ambermoon
Post by: runequester on February 17, 2011, 08:18:03 AM
So just started playing this fairly unique RPG. Got a weird mix of overhead zelda style view, 3D view and turn based combat. Seems really really fun, though I keep getting killed early on :) My damn sword broke

Anyone played this one?

I played it for many hours then just quit.  I loved the gfx but the gameplay was insufficient for me.

If you are enjoying it then I am happy for you.

Never really played this game so far, but great musics nonetheless.

Isn't Amberstar the first game in the serie?

I played it a long time ago but when I got my first 060 board it became unplayable, at the merest touch of a key you shot from one end of a street to the other zooming past every door until you smacked into a wall... :)

Even on the wee map section you flew from one end of a path to the other...

Amberstar was one of the first and one of the best rpg i liked and played for many many hours till i finished it,it had some flaws sometimes but it was good.

Ambermoon was good i tried to play it,but had some fatal bugs, you need a special version and somethings to have in mind in order not to mess it up with some bugs that can make the game unsolvable.

Still ambermoon is one of the best rpg and one of the first to have a kind of 3d texture mapping even on 68000 based amigas.Sadly when it was about to be released amiga was dying as platform so the last part of the trilogy was never released i think.
