I need help please, configuring these computers to share an internet connection. Getting nowhere fast swapping a USB memory stick and keyboard between the two computers.
iMac gets its internet wirelessly from a wireless router in another room. Wired solution to this room is not practical right now and would cost me another $80 to buy another frickin' DSL modem, even if it was possible.
OSX.4.11 Network Preferences tells me I can share an internet connection from the Airport to a computer using Ethernet. Even tried From Ethernet to Ethernet for the hell of it. Nothing.
The computers are hooked up and I've enabled internet sharing on the iMac, but it does not work. I've tried static and DHCP options on the Mini w/ MorphOS Network Preferences. The MacMini does not seem to want to cooperate with my iMac for some reason...
BTW: What's the dock called again for MorphOS? Can't seem to find it anywhere on here...

Got April working. Had to download some more MUI classes before she'd work. NONE of the required files are listed in her docs NOR are they included in MorphOS. Why doesn't that surprise me? I just love playing guessing games with this stuff

You can find latest MCCs usually at sourceforge.
I think the dock you are looking for is named "Polynet" http://polymere.free.fr/Site_New/polynet_en.html
BTW, you can use Snoopium to determine what MCCs/libraries are required.

Thanks Crumb, I'll give that Polynet a try. Thought when I had 2.4 on the Efika, it had a dock of its own hidden somewhere. Just seems like I'm having to install more things this time around. My brain is almost completely fried now, so I could be mistaken (been playing with this stuff all day). Guess I'll spend another day reading through pages of release notes, etc.

Downloaded the Polynet dock. Upon startup, it has 2 icons and some text in the middle. Can't move it away from the middle of the screen either. Oh well, Panels is what I was looking for anyway.

Built in dock:
Ambient has "Panels" available from the "Objects" menu.

That's it, thanks!!
...and it works :) (just have to be sure when you want to add something, to place your cursor over the arrow and NOT assume the bar will automatically make room for your icon)

Glad your mac mini works ;)

Just to make sure there isn't any basic mistake in setup. How have you connected the computers? Did you remember to use crossover ethernet cable if connected directly to each other? ;)

Oh shit, I was using a regular ethernet cable! Will try a 'crossover' cable later tonight, thanks :)

So, did you have any luck with this?

First thing any MorphOS user should do is download the Ultimate Pack, it includes Polynet and loads more essential apps.
