After multiple attempts at contacting Craigslist posters and getting no response, I was wondering if anyone else is having issues.
There's guys nearby selling a 1084s and a genlock for cheap.
Usually, nearly everyone I contact through CL used to write back, at least to say "sorry its been bought" if thats the case.

Dunno, but it looks like Doomy is paying top dollar for your A4000D:

Now paying cash for Commodore Amiga 4000 and 4000T computers.
I pay the following prices:
$100 for an Amiga 4000.
$200 for an Amiga 4000T.
$50 for an Amiga 1200.
The computer must be in perfect working order and look like new ( no yellowing, scratches, scuffs, dings, etc. )

Just an FYI. I'll totally pay 205 dollars for mint condition 4000 towers ;)

I'd pay that, and I'd wash your cars, clean your house and do your laundry.

Is anyone else having problems with Craigslist?
Yes, I buy too much from it!
..but seriously, some people are just lazy and don't delete their posts or reply when an item has sold.
-
yeah some people just don't reply........

I've had nothing but problems with most people I've dealt with on CL.

Pfah. I would even take your wife off your hands.

You are aware that they don't allow prostitutes on there anymore? ;)
-
Ya, they keep deleting my posts which is really putting a damper in my career plans.
Last year the police set me up. I arrived at what was said to be the home of a single house wife who's abusive husband was gone for the week on a business trip, wouldn't you know, I was about to get down and dirty on the dinner table when BAM, out of no where, six police officers came and cuffed me with my pants down.
Needless to say I didn't make any money that night, and had to use a lot of what I'd made through previous posts paying off court fees.
I freaking hate that site!!!
-
If prostitutes are giving desks, chairs, and office cubicle partitions away, then I wasn't aware. They didn't "offer".
Craigslist has been a blessing in helping to either clean out old junk from our offices or supplying us with furniture and equipment.
What I don't get, is the guy who is constantly reposting the genlock hasn't responded.

Wow... there's no chance of getting an A4000 in the UK for that kind of price, I've been bidding on this one on eBay but now it's a wee bit beyond what I'm willing to pay for one... :(
A4000 040 Boxed Current Price £501.76 ($811.64) (With 6 days left) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320657323598&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2056wt_1141)
Dunno about "Mill Spec" but this one must be "Star Wars Spec"... :))
-
That 4000 looks like new and it's in the box, that always adds a fair premium to the price, not to mention the fancy sound card. Bit of battery leakage, though!

Play the doomy game, Send him a pic of a new 4000t and require payment by check, after check clears send him a profanity laced email stating you are not sending him the computer because:
a: it was damaged
b: you feel like he took advantage of you
c: he acts strange
d: you have a headache
e: its in the mail
F: (fill in the blank)
hahha

Never had much luck with Craig's List. I do know other people who have had good buys from people listing there.
I've always done better on Ebay (but that's pointless with Amiga hardware as that's stupid high).
For some reason I've never been able to list my own stuff on the site.
