I just saw this on EAB

Pirated eBay knock offs of Count Duckula floppy disks is one of the greatest evils of the 21st century and should be punished! And it's 99p, don't let that eBay seller make untold riches and buy a yacht off the hardworking back of the Count!

More X-Copy sins by this seller!

people have no shame these days.
at least include a photocopied manual
-
If they did sue someone at least we would no longer be snubbed.:hammer:
Someone should ring up EA and ask if they would port Deluxe Paint to AROS. I think they would believe you are trying to prank call them.

Terrible. At least Sim City has the cheat code on the disk.
I think I would go slightly mad playing Garfield, Count Duckula and Yogi Bear.

ya that and AI calling a Linux skin Workbench 5:madashell:

Thanks for the heads up on those Pyro, been buying as much old Commodore stuff on eBay for the past week & a half now, with all this interest CUSA has stirred up in Commodore stuff I reckon once all the disappointed CUSA customers feel that what they really want are the genuine originals I'll make a killing on eBay when I sell them... :)
I'll need to bid on them little beauties you just showed, cos from some of comments on the CUSA fan page and Facebook there are plenty of unsuspecting numpties out there who'll buy anything... :)
Muwh Ha Ha, I gonna be rich I tell you, Rich... (well even more richer than I am now... :lol:)

@Franko
Hmm,... yet again I find myself unable to refrain from responding to you. Despite how it may appear, I actually find you entertaining enough, and your passion for the old amigas is inspiring (have gotten myself an '040 based a1200 system again largely on the back of your (and runequestor to a degree) enthusiasm. That said however,.......
You know, some people simply dont care. I've got a few computer literate friends who were fans of commodore machines from it's heyday who are well aware of what it is C-USA are selling and are still interested. Im not myself, but your "crusade" is likely to do more harm than "good".
@thread
Ive always been fairly appalled at anyone who tries to make money off other peoples work, and this is little different (strange choices though). Besides that though, I'd have to say one of the biggest modern evils in the amiga world is peoples inability to let others enjoy what they enjoy, and not just that, but the not unusual attitude to mourn the amiga rather than embrace it. We really are our own biggest enemy.

What Crusade... the last Crusade I went on was back in the sixth century when I was just a lad... :)
I know there are plenty of ex-Commodore fans out there who would know and understand just what CUSA are selling and whether they care or not doesn't matter to me... :)
Equally there are plenty of folk out there who don't know much about Commodore stuff or it's history other than maybe owning an old C64 for a short while and just playing games on it for example... :)
Some of the comments on the CUSA fan page & Facebook prove this. I just don't like the idea of the C64, Amiga or Workbench names being used to sell a PC, that's my main gripe in all of this, this aint a Crusade it's just someone who has a passion and fondness for these names & trademarks and who wasn't allowed to get this view across without being censored by CUSA... :)
(PS:what harm are my views causing... :))

your view is all over the place even when it doesn't need to be. :)
Maybe some of us would like to read at least one thread here on amiga.org where someone doesn't bring up CUSA. (and is usually you) We get it you don't like them they are terrible and so confusing to people who would actually think that a modern computer is a commodore 64. And they owner was mean to you and blah blah freaking blah... :)
:) and the smilies are more annoying that anything :) someone should do a poll on if you use smilies too much, at least they aren't dancing bannanas i guess. :) :) :)
Your opinion is as valuable and welcome as the rest of ours, but we all know it, we have seen your posts. Now you are just shoving in everyones face in every thread. :(

Jesus, Franko's posts about C-USA are annoying. Glad to see someone else agree, wish amiga.org had "like"/"dislike" buttons! ;-)

I never said I don't like you, in fact I used to like reading your posts and actually defended you when others attacked and tried to calm things down from personal attacks. Everything seems to be about cusa now though you do very well seem obsessed.
What whining have you seen, this is a legitimate compaint, there are many threads here on amiga.org, not all of them have to be about cusa and your grudge against them.
The bannanas were a joke years ago someone found we could put dancing banannas up, after a site overhaul I think and people went crazy with them. Some people put dancing bannanas on all their posts. That is what your anti-cusa rants have become: dancing bannans.
-
@Kthunder
If we take the fruit talk for a second - what C=USA are trying to do is sell a piece of fruit say a banana, but its not actually a banana at all, it doesn't smell like a banana, it doesn't have the feel or texture of a banana, it isn't enjoyed like a banana would be enjoyed, it doesn't look even look a banana. The only similarity between a real banana and a Commodore 'banana' is that they are both bent.

Oooh... legitimate complaint, need to speak to me lawyer first before I can answer that one... :)
Anti-CUSA rants & dancing bananas... reckon the two are perfectly matched... :)
Seriously though, why don't you just put me on your ignore list and then you wouldn't have to read anything I have to say about CUSA or having wee smilie faces bugging you... :)
What you gonna do when Red writes his report on his visit to CUSA are you going to read that or ignore that too. Hopefully Reds report will put an end to all the CUSA stuff, we'll just have to wait and see... :)
(PS:sorry about the smilies... :))

ah c'mon Jesus won't help you with that request because he knows Franko is certifiable:roflmao:
besides I 'dislike' (being politically correct here) AI as much as Franko does CUSA so I see where he's coming from

probably not much sense in saying you don't make any sense is there.
If you've read this thread at all you'll see that I am looking forward to Red's report.
Ive been in the Amiga community for decades, Ive seen every bit of vapor and fluff come and go. Ive seen the former owners of the Commodore name come and go. I even have a Commodore pentium 90 that I grabbed just for the heck of it. The name has been used and abused for YEARS.
Cusa is NOT worth getting upset over and it certainly isn't worth pissing off every long term member of the community. Some of us have been on amiga.org since before the server switchover of 2002 when we lost all our former posts etc. myself included. Notice all the members that joined in 2002. We have been here a long time and seen all this stuff before.
maybe I can put it in a way you'll understand "q'uiet ye, yer makin' a wee ass o' yerself"

Dunno... it makes sense if think about it in a different sense... :)

I did read it all but I tend to doze off when I read your posts... :)

I've seen it all before as well, just never been on the internet before to have my say on it that's all... :)

One of the greatest Amiga evils of the 21st century
Heh. You already forgot about McBill and his cronies?
Flogging copied games maybe was hurtful to the platform in the nineties but in this century...hardly.

-
oops sorry :) :) :)

oh yeah, as for it being that time of the month, my wife is home from work, so we will see what we can do about it :D
