Im just wondering if it's possible to use a pc floppy drive as an external floppy on an a1200? Im assuming it's unlikely, but I had seen a few small mods around to allow it for specific pc floppy drive models, so thought there's no harm in asking. I should also mention that I have a floppy drive to 3.5 inch ide hdd box/convertor thingie that I was hoping to use rather than actual floppy disks, so that probably throws another spanner or 2 in the works. I'd be content with even just Fat formatted content though, if that helps anything.
While it'd be practical for me at the moment, it's always something Ive wondered about.

I have a PC floppy internally that was converted to an AMiga high density drive by one of the tech guru's at our user group in 1997. Its a Panasonic and i have no idea how he did it. There is no circuit board, no software it just plugs in and works..with NDOS game floppies as well. The same guy that has this page http://members.iinet.net.au/~davem2/amiga.html did it for the cost of the drive!

Actually, also, assuming electronically I can get it working, would it be as "simple" as writing a new mountfile for the harddrive attached to the floppy port, being that's it properties are different.
oh, and thanks for the links. :)
