Title: Bit of a cheeky request for spare/cheap DigiView
Post by: Digiman on January 19, 2011, 09:58:11 AM
My Digiview for A1000 is no longer working BUT I want it to work dammit!

Does anyone still have the original white rectangle A1000 version of Digiview they would like to sell me for a small price? Would be greatly appreciated and you will get a mention in my new game's credits too :)

If I dig deeper into my stack of boxes, I'm sure I might be able to come up with one also...

Indeed it is the one SAVE2600 showed as the A500/2000 printer port is incompatible with A1000 (gender and wiring).

Think Magnetic has left here now, serves me right for not keeping tabs on this!

I am in the same boat. My Digiview for my A1000 has flown the coop. I, too, would love to have one if some one can help.
Please?

Did you ask NewTek if they would fix it? They'll repair your VideoToaster if it goes wonky. Why not their other hardware?

Hi,

@digiman,

Don't know if I still have one, but used to, will have to go through my Amiga Junk and see if I can find it.

Will have to go up in the attic and see if it is in one of my 200 hundred old computer parts boxes. These are all large moving boxes when I moved from Florida up into the damn yankee land of pennsyltucky (pennsylvania) Land of the largest dishonest bunch of crooks in the world, even worse then those darn Scotts don't you know. Come to think about it Pennsyltucky is mostly populated by the Irish don't you know, can't blame the Scot's for that one. The Irish don't have no luck, they get them pesky little leper people to do all the stealin for them.

OOPs lets get back on subject, will try to get up in the attic sometimes this week to look, if I don't remember just catch me on a post and remind me. Last time I was up there I found my Snappy, bet you all don't know what that is?
And by the way Kicky modeled for it.

smerf

Put a note on my keyboard so I don't forgets. Hope it works.

Never even bothered to reply to my PM.

So anyone actually got one spare? Desperate enough to conside A500/2000 with A1000 specific gender changer(tested and working.....my A1000 is worth more than the sellers health ;) )

The Snappy was the digiview from Play, where kiki and other newtek folks went plus investors like wil wheaton.

BTW, there was an official genger changer from newtek too for the digiview.

Hi Smerf... :)

Now this is odd when I got stuck up in the loft a couple of days ago one of the things I found was my old Digi-View Gold (sorry DigiMan but you cant have it...) spooky or what and yup those no good thieving little Irish folk will nick anything to stick in their pots of gold... :)

Anyways, the trouble is I left it up there when the postman rescued me, so next time your up in the loft could you dig it out for me while you're looking for you Snappy (it's just over beside where I found the shiny silver teaspoon), cos I aint going back up there again for a long long time... :)

Cheers

Franko

Hi,

Now that you reminded me, I will try to get up in the Attic this weekend to look for it Digiman, sorry it completely slipped my old mind, must be getting senile. I have about 20 to 25 boxes to look through, so I don't know if I will find it or not, at one time I used to be organized but since the move from Florida to Penciltucky I really don't know where anything is anymore. My plan is to sort it all out this year.

You know those Scots aren't a bit tight at all, I hear that under their kilts they are really loose up there.  They don't believe in wee people though, but they do believe in wee weeing.

Hi,

@ SACC-guy,

First things first, get an easier name to type, had to try 3 times before I gets it right, second thing is that you are correct, I didn't think anyone remembered kiki. by the way I found my snappy, try to hook it up to one of my newer PC's to see if it works.
