What I need is:
- a short 2.5" 44pin IDE cable
- a mint A1200 keyboard
- A1200 floppy drive bracket (the small metal part that secures the floppy from inside the case)
I figure someone may have these left over from a tower conversion. :-)

I have a crappy old A1200 keyboard with a broken F2 key that you might convince me to part with for a princely sum.. and I am due in Canada in July!!!

Heh, well...it's a bit too mint for me. I was more thinking of one that's got at least 5 broken keys. ;-)

I have a "small metal part that secures the floppy from inside the case" but postage from UK might not be worth it! :-)
-
@Abou27:
It should not be higher than a few quid. Afterall, it would go in an envelope as a letter. :-)
-
If you want it, you can have it. Last time I posted abroad customs fees were about £4. Therefore, £9 would probably totally cover it? As I say, you can have it, so only postage. :-)

Sorry, no can do on that keyboard, I seem to have lost it :-(
I was really nasty though, the keys had gone yellow!!! You would have loved it!!!
-Edit- You know, it was so filthy, I doubt I could have got it through Customs :-)
-
They charge customs fees to you? I thought that only I as the receiver was at risk.
Anyways, couldn't you simply put it in an envelope as if it were a normal letter and mail it? It's very small, you know. :-)
-
Yeah, last time I posted abroad I was charged £4 customs under letter/small packet (<300g) classification. I'll check tomorrow if you want. I'm not looking to screw any money out of you! If you don't need it immediately, let me know and I'll get back to you with a more exact figure.
-
I know you are not trying to screw any money out of me. Who'd bother for such a little sum anyway? :-D
Alright, let me know, if you have time to find out. And thank you for your effort, my good man. :-)(http://amiga.org/images/subject/icon14.gif)

What about me!!! I was prepared to smuggle a dirty broken biohazard keyboard through customs for you!!! ;-)

And I'll never forget it. :-)

Hi,
You just missed it, I just took a sledge hammer to my old A1200 and through the old piece of junk in the trash, all it was, was a money grabber.
but then again I am American, and as you know we are mad at the canadians, so this A1200 would have cost you lot to get a keyboard for.
Why don't you try ebay,
On Aminet they have plans on how to adapt a pc keybaord, or A2000 keyboard to a A1200.

I picked up a few 2" 44pin cable from these guys. Seemed cheap enough. BTW, make sure you use the 5% discount code.

Hi x56h34. Checked again today. As not documents only, customs fee of £4 is required. Good news is postage itself would be less than pound. PM your address and I'll get it posted tomorrow if you want :-)
-
@Abou27:
Thanks for your effort, but I'll have to pass. The price of the customs charge makes this a pricey purchase for me for something this small/insignificant. I'll try to find it localy, somehow... :-)
Thanks again! :-)(http://amiga.org/images/subject/icon14.gif)

Sorry to hijack this thread but anyone in the UK got an original internal floppy drive for an A1200.
Seems to be a rare item. :-?
