My WinUAE setup has handled nearly everything that I've thrown at it so far. However, I tried running DM2 and it made WinUAE slow to a crawl.
Why is heck does it run fine on my A3000D with WB3.9, yet work so awful on my emulated version?

Could it be because it doesn't like your UAE setup? Have you tried replicating the hardware configuration of your A3000 in UAE?

I dont really know- but a guess might be it's making calls to hardware that isn't there... RS-232 based MIDI, the sound is emulated, etc.
Just guesses.

That's a good point. Try shutting off MIDI output in DMCS or configure your UAE setup so that MIDI output is directed to your PC's MIDI device or to Windows General MIDI thingy.
I know that when I was first learning Bars & Pipes on a real Amiga, I couldn't figure out why it was just so slow & stuttering - it was because my MIDI interface was shut off and passing-through to the serial port. (I was using internal Amiga sounds so I wasn't thinking about external MIDI devices at the time)

OK, I'll give those a try.

It runs fine on my Athlon 2800.
1st. What speed is your PC and how much RAM does it have?
Also is your transferred copy of Deluxe Music 2 or a cracked version?
Also is it the same on different versions of Winuae?
My basic Winuae setup is:
020
2MB CHIP
8MB Fast
OS 3.1
I'll check the speed of my +4MB video Picasso 96 install and also a few other things to see if I can slow it down.

All that was needed, was to set the midi output on WinUAE for it to work fine.
However, it's still having difficulty with music that uses all four channels, such as a Bach fugue.
Thanks guys.
