I've got one here, I don't know if its faulty or not but on one A1200 only left mouse button works on USB and PS2 mouse I tested but the mouse movement from the optical mouse is superb.

On my other A1200 it works great, but seems only el-cheapo mice works with it, my M$ super dooper mouse seems to be too Power Hungry.

I need to do more testing with it really, I didn't buy it I inherited it with an A1200 Tower I picked up and gutted for parts.

Someone at another forum was saying you could plug a Mouse and Joystick on Port 1 and it was Auto Switching but I have not tested this feature...

Steve.

Another member on here whom I was helping out over the phone purchased one of the other type this guy is also selling and it wouldn't work with any of the mice he tried.

The right mouse button wouldn't work on most of the mice and the claim that it works on the early startup screen (holding down both mouse buttons) just wouldn't work at all... :(

He ended up buying the Cocolino mouse adapter which works 100%... :)

These are the exact problems I have with my A1200 Tower (except I didn't try the boot menu but I guess that wont work if 2nd button isn't working)

However its working fine with my Desktop A1200.  I wonder why this may be?

My Tower is uber pimped as you know so maybe something is not compatible with it?

The other member who tried it was only running a stock A1200 with an 030 board and as I say couldn't get it to work with a number of different mice he tried... :(

I told him to buy the Cocolino adapter as I use one myself and haven't found a wireless mouse yet that doesn't work with it ... :)

This is the kind of product I would like to see for USB to PS/2 keyboard/Mouse and Joystick.  It sure would be nice to be able to use USB Mice/Keyboard and controllers on the MiniMig.

OK, like this but working...

Honestly, buy the Cocolino adapter works fine with all wireless and wired mice I have tested (even from the early startup screen) using both USB or PS/2 mice... :)

I agree I have 2 of the cocolino and one other of a different kind (not the one on ebay). and they work perfect, optical/lazer/wired/wireless all good with the cocolino (atm i have 1 laser wired and 1 laser wireless and 1 normal optical wired all logitech and all work 100%)

By the look of it, that adaptor will only work with certain revisions of the A1200, so beware!!

The Cocolino lets you use PS/2 Mice on an Amiga mouse port.  The comment of mine you quotes was of me wanting a USB mouse/Keyboard on a PS/2 port, which is what the MiniMig has for ports.

Hmmm... odd... I've tried several different brands and all worked fine, Technika, Microsoft, Microsol and a few others that I can't recall the names of right now... :)

@Fats

A wireless mouse is one of the few pieces of modern PC gear I couldn't do without... :)

The usb mouse will only work if it still supports the ps2 protocol.
(which is becoming less common now)

No worries there I've stockpiled a box of Technika Mice from Tescos (£7 each) to last me a lifetime... :)

I dunno about the ebay item listed, but I use a cocolino and never had any problems, works at power up, no drivers or anything required.

Oh come on, questionable sales tactics are at the heart of the Amiga experience.
