How Often Do You Use An Amiga...
Ok haven't done a poll for a while so for all of you guys who dont like them and think there naff here's another one just to get you riled up again... :lol:
How often do you use an Amiga... this time it doesn't matter whether its real hardware or an emulator or even what you do with it...
The question is quite simple and doesn't leave anyone out this time... (you know who you are, always feeling left out with my polls... :))

2. Several Times A Week

4. Several Times A Month

Some how this question makes me feels like my privacy is being invaded... but I'm proud to say several times a week.:)

Same Several Times a week BUT as soon as i fix some issues with my A1200 and upgrade and rebuild my A2000,A3000 and A4000 will switch to everyday.

I'm enjoying those pancakes, while I make up my mind on how to pull those siamesed A2000s out of storage. It'll take some work, they haven't been fired up in around fifteen years.

Couple of times a year - mostly WinUAE, with maybe my A500 booted up once in a blue moon...

Well, it used to be several times a year... But now my A1200 seems dead... I think UAE is the only way forward... I am keen keen on the Replay board or Clone-A.... Or any AGA MiniMig. That might be a little something to keep me interested ;)

the closest one for me is about "Several Times A Month..."
sometimes more, sometime less, most of the time I must admit its on Amiga forever/uae usually just to play a quick old game I miss, but sometime I boot up the old girl for more amiga fun and I must admit even though my emulator version is mostly likely quicker in every way I still get more fun from my real Amiga, the only problem I have is re-adjusting to the old sty mouse, pc spoils me with a lazer mouse, my amiga only has a ball, its the one thing I wish I could just plug into my Amiga, most likely could if I was willing to install hacks and usb etc, into my Amiga, but I dont want to.
I hope to get back on and back into amigas a bit more when I get an Os4 machine, I mean the main reason I dont use my amiga as much now is because of the lack of internet ability and hopefully OS4 will correct that soon with timberwolf.

Exactly! Used WinUAE twice already this morning whilst at work :roflmao:
(testing out Workbench installs, WinUAE on WB 1.3 is my 'screensaver' which stops people poking around my machine because none of them know how to get out of full screen mode haha)

I voted "Every Day", but there are occasional days when I don't turn a computer on at all because I'm busy with other stuff.
My Sam is my main computer at home but I'm stuck with Windows at work (where I am now, naughty ant!)

it vary it is either 'Once A Week' or 'Several Times A Month' or 'Several Times A Year'. it all depend what i have time for, it is so much other interesting stuff out today, back in the day it was just the amiga.

Several times a year, wish it be more, lack space in my apartment to be able of riging it up constantly, if I could my A600 would probably be used more often. It feels like I only use it for special occations.

With my AROS machine, almost everyday.
With my my Classics (A500, A2500, A1200), a couple times a year for old times sake.
With WinUAE, several times a month.

I chose every day. Even whilst at my brother's place, I have a fully set up UAE configuration on a USB disk ready to use.

Awe... that's a shame no real Amiga, I'm gonna write to Bob Geldof and see if he can organise and event to supply all you poor third world folk with real miggies as it should be a crime for every home not to have one... :)
Anyhows that's why I added syrup to the pancakes option just to cheers you third worlders up a wee bit... :)

why she never off the umm amiga 1200 that is ..
but thats for running the bbs as for running other programs once blue moon
as l have only on ram card and bbs ties up my orginal amiga 1200 l brought brand new way back in time hehe
once l get another ram card or 030 board l use email and irc amiga programs

I use my Amiga 1200/2000 several times a week and sometimes daily. It depends though, I've got other retro systems/consoles (like MSX, Atari XL, Spectrum, ZX81 and C64 just to name a few) I play around with and I only have so much time to spend.
So there are periods I don't turn my Amiga's on for a while because I'm using one of the other systems.

Agreed, but that's not always a bad thing. UAE fit's in my pocket these days. Would need pretty big pockets to put an A1200, display and battery pack in there :D

Battery pack?????? Karlos i am shocked!!!!!!!!!!!! how can you... you know we all are moving towards solar panels... just get a big hat and hook up some solar panels..... or a wind turbine if you don't feel like Solar... :lol:

Off topic, but these days whenever someone mentions pockets I cant help but think of the Brak Show (I think that's what it's called, it's been a while) Christmas Special and the conversation that is something to the effect of, "you cant have sex with your pants up right Dad?", "not unless you've got special pockets son".
Bizarre show (as are most of the adult swim cartoons) along with Harvey Birdman Attourney At Law, Sea Lab, Space Ghost (the same spaceghost from early morning kids cartoons from the early 80's, but he's now a talk show host). If a person wants to experience a drug like intoxication withough trying drugs, the Adult Swin cartoon hour is the best way to do it.

Yeah, I use the Amiga daily, but haven't opened a game in months...
I've been a lot of time making different WB setups... ClassicWB, OS39 with different configurations searching the one with more ram, installing hardware, repairing what I've broken installing hardware :), changing too the file system... Yesterday I spent several hours changing the screen and initial music for my Amikit conversion in a Real Amiga...

I use *UAE for retro gaming and AmigaForever (WinUAE) for browsing the interwebs when I'm forced to use windows.

My miggy was on all day today, blasting mod tunes while doing various stuff around the house.
Finished the game playing UFO enemy unknown, and writing some stuff in Final writer.

Had my A1200 fully working so decide to take out the HDD and put in a big one... oh the pain of it all.. BUT at least my 9 yo son is taking an interest in the amiga same with the 6 yo... (i keep telling them that these are there inheritance... :lol:)

Hopefully I'll get an FPGAArcade* this year and I will be able to use an Amiga more often than nowadays.
* In the camp that Minimig, FPGAArcade and Natami are Amigas in every sense of the word
