Title: PAL version CD32 in the U.S.

Hello.  This may seem like a dumb question, but if I get a PAL version CD32 will I be able to operate that with a 110-120V u.s. version CD32 power supply?  I am thinking yes, but just want to make sure.  I realize that the PAL, NTSC relates to video, but I believe most of Europe is 220-240V, and therein lies my concern.  Go ahead and laugh at me if you want on this one.

Nothing to laugh at you about mate, perfectly sensible question to ask... :)
It should be a simple case of getting hold of a USA CD32 powerpack and as long as you have a monitor or TV that can display PAL signals everything should be fine... :)

Although I can't guarantee it as I'm not sure if there are any power supply components inside the CD32 itself that would need modifying... :(

CD32 runs on 12V and 5V DC.  It won't know the difference if you use a 110V power supply on it, since they all put out the same DC voltages.

I don't think you can get any picture on a standard CRT tv, though you might have more luck with a new LCD, LED or plasma screen as the scandoublers in the tv are often both capable of handling all kinds of signals (it's cheaper for the manufacturer that way).
You might as well look at the specs on the power supply. Often these are as well universal for the very same reason of being cheaper to produce that way. You then only need a changer for the plug so it can fit in a US outlet.  Which is very cheap of course :)
