Title: Would like to see some MOS Vs OS4 benchmarks on classic Amigas
Post by: AmigaMance on December 15, 2010, 07:36:50 AM
We have seen comparisons between newer versions of these OSes on NG Amigas. How about some benchmarks between MorphOS 1.4.5 and AOS 4.0 on a classic Amiga setup? Who's up to the task? :)

I can tell you one thing for sure (depsite what Karlos may say...:D) OS4.0 on a classic Amiga without an RTG board is slower than a dead tortoise thats been nailed to a lump of wood... :)

Those OS versions range from "outdated" to "obsolete" today, and the Classic Amiga's even more so.

A new comparison of *current* versions made on the aging Pegasos 2 would be much more relevant IMHO.

That would really be of interest to the worlds 2 Pegasos owners... :)

It's the word "amiga" right ?  Still a little confusing after all these years ?  :)

Seems like a new version of MOS for classic is coming see http://safir.amigaos.se/bildgalleri/users2/10061_powerup_tease.png so would be interesting with benchmarks compare with AmigaOS4.1 for classic (which also should be released soon).

I just updated my MorphOS installation and made those shots when checking if my Amiga still works after months of downtime.
