Hey guys. I know this probably isn't the place for Playstation talk but i'm desperate. Does anyone know where i can get hold of Doom 3 for Playstation 3?
I've searched Ebay for the last few weeks and have checked every online store i could find. Doom 3 does not exist!
Note as i'm in Australia it must be PAL not NTSC.
Cheers :)

Uh, I think you answered your own question there. According to some quick Google/Wikipedia, Doom 3 literally does not exist for the PS3.

unfortunately, it DOES exist for some systems.
I wish it didnt because the games about as action packed as a church sermon.

Doom 3 was a pc and original xbox release.
-
That's why i couldn't find it! I thought it was just old (2003/4?).
Thanks guys!

The PC version is worth a play, IIRC it came on 3 CD's lol.
I quite enjoyed it and you don't need a killer system to run it.
I think I played it with a 1ghz AMD Athlon and 64mb GeForce Mx440 :)

The XBOX version actually has better pacing, since a lot of the backtracking was removed, but it's still tedious. I'd much rather play through the classic Doom and expansions again.
-
But wouldn't playing Doom 3 on a PC be preferable as you had a mouse as opposed to a digital hand controller?
I havn't actually played Doom 3 yet but i adore Doom 1 and 2 on the PS1. Bad graphics though....
My laptop is too slow to play Doom 3 as it only has a single 2.1 ghz cpu and 1 gig of ram. Shame that.

Depends on cpu and gfx card specs, the internal frequency alone says not much.
I have played through Doom 3 on a a pc with 2.4 ghz pentium 4 (single core) cpu, nvidia gf 4200-ti gfx card with 64 mb video ram, and 512 mb of main ram. It isn't a lovely experience of course. But I have also played it on an AMD64 X2 5200+, ATI radeon x1700 SE 512 mb video ram, and 2 gb of main ram, and on such a system (already ancient for gaming) the game flows.

Looks like you may want to get a cheap Windows machine. DOOM 3 is well worth playing - so is Quake 4, Half Life series, Bioshock, Crysis, and ......
I think Steam sells DOOM 3 for $5.00 at times!
-
I really enjoyed DOOM 3 and the expansion pack. Though it is a different beast to oriignal dooms. Amazing atmos
-
the relentless carnage of Doom 1 and 2 was barely present in Doom 3.
it was mostly dicking off with a flash light and pressing buttons.
total crap. I wouldnt even waste my time if I were you.

Its worth noting that Doom 3 runs on mac and linux as well

I played it on a PowerMac a few years ago, handled better than on my PC. It is a "slow" game, but the atmosphere and story line makes it freaky. It gets unnerving when stuff jumps out at you in the dark or from behind so often.

If you want relentless carnage, try Serious Sam :D
The real Doom 3 IMHO!

yeah. Playing GTA3 in first person is more like DOOM than DOOM3, lol
-
Doom 3 fails completely as a horror game. The 'boo, haha, got ya' stuff gets old after the second time and basically the entire game consists of nothing but those boo-moments.
-
a lot of fun can be had with the two original doom games and a source port like Doomsday or Skulltag :)
-
WOW! I just saw Skulltag on youtube! It's amazing! I didn't even know it existed until i heard about it on this forum!
Where did they come up with these weapons?
I think i might skip Doom 3 and just play Skulltag.
Why do they call it Skulltag?
