Just noticed someone had pointed out this (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=55555) thread was number 55555, not long now before we hit the magical 68000
Here are two more that may be of interest:
Guess this was the first thread after the crash (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1)
Truly evil! (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=666)
As you can see, nothing has changed :roflmao:

Well, to be fair, the new thread id values aren't related to the original xoops ones, so thread 1 here isn't necessarily the "first thread" after the crash.
Anyhoo, carrying on:

Hmmmm, thought the post time and date would have had some impact during the conversion process, guess not, I'll get my coat...

It did, but remember, the initial forum import only incorporated content that had not been flagged as deleted. The chances are the original xoops thread with id 1 was some test thread, long deleted before the xoops version of amiga.org went live.

So technically, that was the first legitimate forum thread? Bleh, number 1 is number 1 :D

I can make no guarantee to that effect :D

Look who's number two... (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2)

Any of you old hands here remember any old threads where the patter turned out to be really funny as I would like to read through some of them...:)
The ones I've came across by a member called Wilse always seem to end up really funny and enjoyable to read... :)

@ adz
Cheers for that, giving up for now my jaws too sore with the laughing and I just spat coffee (once again) all over my keyboard, gonna save the rest for a later date and make sure I'm not drinking anything at the time...
I reckon the 'Men's toilets, Secretaries, that sort of thing.' thread would be a bit inappropriate for the forum today with it being PG & family friendly... :)

...being PG & family friendly... :)
Since when?

*shrug*
Them were the days :D

I think they were just happy it was confined to the one thread. Although it wasn't, there are several similar threads with titles matching "X, Y, Z... that sort of thing"
There's one about amiga t-shirts. If you weren't online at the time, the whole t-shirt scam may have passed you by. One of your countrymen finally received his after years of having given up on it, and it kinda snowballed...

IIRC, that spawned colorblindness and fusioncracker threads as well :D

This one (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13790) just crapped up in conversation...

Some of those old threads should be made compulsory in our schools and before being allowed to join a.org, they'd make the world a happier place.... :)

Still so funny. :)
I just cringe when I read some of my old posts though, on account of the fact that I was 19 and thought I was a hardcore atheist libertarian anarchist... Haha.
Or was it anarcho-communist.
I dunno. :)
