A simple answer too as I only visit this great one :)
:drink:
-
I think the results are going to be pretty skewed towards Amiga.org :)
-
When i first got access to internet at home in the late 90's, i first typed amiga.com, got pretty surprised with the result, then amiga.org :)
-
Well, this one, obviously.
I am also member of aw.net (which is where I have tended to go in the past when asking anything about OS4 since there were more users there) and aros-exec, but I rarely post on them these days. I also lurk on several other forums for years but haven't signed up yet.
Having said that, I used to lurk here for a few year before signing up in 2002...

I reckon too this poll could end up being a wee bit biased, but you never know... :)
(I know who I've got my money on not to answer the first choice... :))
-
AmiBay, but I come here a lot too.
-
though i don't write too much, i've found clever people in all amiga related forums: amiga.org, amigaworld.net, amigans.net and aros-exec.org.
i read them all every day and i think every of them has its own taste.
to me this is a very good thing because it's in amiga nature to be colorful.
:))

AmiBay, but I come here a lot too.
Drat... I've just lost my own bet... :(
-
errrr..... didn't you forget commodore scotland?
Silly billy :hammer::hammer::hammer:

Silly billy :hammer::hammer::hammer:
Even I don't visit that place...
(And yup it never even came to mind when I started this poll...:hammer:)
(Double Drat... if commodorejohn had left his post for just a few more minutes I'd have won my own bet...)
-
It's a tie between amiga.org and amibay.com, but at current I spent more time here, except our own Dutch forum, amigascene.nl, that would win handsdown with all of them.

Which Amiga Forum...

Don't let the door hit you on the way out... ;)
Funny you said that. One did very recently on the way in.
Was at work, chucking stuff in the tech scrap bins. The heavy building security doors slammed shut with me on the other side, so I shouted .....through the gap in the door, "Carl, Carl the door shut".....silence...."Carl"...silence...so I tried to peak through the gap to see....BAM! Carl opened door....
Massive bruise on my eyebrow.....Still tender two weeks later. Getting older and wiser doesn't prevent moments of stupidity.
-
Ahhhh, good old aw.net, that's BAF troll gold
-
In order of most visits:
1)Amibay
2)Eab
3)Here
Thats it!

I can verify and agree with that last comment from my own personal experience... ;)
(Well the Vindaloo's ready once again, right out of wobble u wobble u e for this week so off to watch TNT (the poor mans wrestling) instead... (peace on a.org for next 2 hours folks...))

Drat... rumbled again, you lot are way too clever for me...

You forgot to list Natami.net
-
Amiga.org which is the only one where I'm registered, but I do also sometimes visit the other forums as well, most of the times it is by following links from various Amiga related Google searches.
-
I don't know whether you intensionally forgot because of it's dedication to all things AmigaOS4.x but you did not list AMIGANS.NET. I guess you cover it with the Other option :)
-
My favorite forums in order:
1. Amiga.org
2. EAB
3. Pancakes
In particular, I think Amiga.org and EAB complement each other well. Many of us here are registered there too.
-
I only visit this one. Its the only one that seems to put up with my shenanigans.
-
Other: amiga-news.de (http://www.amiga-news.de/standard) ... :-)
-
For me AROS-Exec.org probably just edges out amiga.org, so I went with other.
-
It's funny that no one has mentioned Morphzone. I use this sometimes and have an account there. But i don't post anything there. I've been debating for about a year whether or not to but a PPC mac mini just so i can use Morthos. Unlikely to happen anytime soon though. Today i just bought a PS3.
-
In order of most visits:
1)Amibay
2)Eab
3)Here

Thats my order also..
mine is also the order I joined..:roflmao:
-
I hang out on Amibay mostly, but do like to pop on here and EAB from time to time. I'm also registered at amigaworld.net, but don't really hang out much over there at all.
In fact, until this post, I have equal number of posts here and EAB. Looks like this one broke the stalemate. :)
-
I prefer EAB because they seem to be more in tune with this being the year 2010 and not 1995.
-
As long as you don't mean we should be discussing PCs and Macs?
There does seem to be a bit of snobbishness towards UAE and even the FPGA 68k here and of course AROS. That is the ubiquitous vocal minority. The majority always includes those in the overall Amiga platform.
I would like to read about the FPGA 68k, UAE and OS4 Amiga in the one spot and not have everyone separated 'for their own safety'.
I'll never buy an OS4 PPC Amiga, but love to watch them writhe as they fade into a mere hobby and I ponder the 'what if' question.
-
a1k
:)
-
1. MooBunny
2. Amiga.org
3. aros-exec.org
4. Amigaworld.net
-
1, classicamiga.com
2, amibay.com
3, other
I tend to hang out on multi format retro forums more than Amiga only for the rest I visit regularly. Especially emulation related.
-
I prefer EAB because they seem to be more in tune with this being the year 2010 and not 1995.
this am sounding like a forum I want to has.
-
Well for my classic amiga i use this site and for OS4 i use amigans.net
-
ann.lu is still the site I've spent most time on.
-
This one the most. I read Lemonamiga some but its very gaming specific. Amibay is awesome for getting gadgets, and there's some useful threads but I don't post a ton.
Been tempted to make an account on EAB
-

For many years Amiga.org was the home page of any browser I ran, but for the last 2 years MorphZone.org has replaced Amiga.org as my home page setting, but I still visit here almost every day and most days I visit here several times a day/night. Although I think that all Amiga related forum sites have gone down hill in quality of posts and generally become much more hostile with members always fighting with each other, Amiga.org is still the best Amiga site to get quick and accurate answers. My OWB start page is Amiga.org with its home page set to MorphZone.org, so after starting here, I just hit the home page button to go from A.org to MZ.org. AW.net has become too negative for my liking and I have been thinking of spending more time on EAB.
@Kesa,
You will probably like MorphOS2.7 if you ever have the chance to get yourself a supported PPC Mac to run it on. The nice thing about MorphOS2.x is that you can try it out for free before you buy it, so if it is not for you, you can always just use MacOSX, or Linux on your PPC Mac, or just sell it for what you paid for it, assuming you get one at a good price. I was lucky to find one of my G4 Mac's for less than $31.00 with extras that I could sell for more than that, so I essentially got that G4 Mac for free. Depending on where you live, you should be able to find an older G4 PowerMac for very little, or maybe free, if you look long and hard enough. Good luck if you decide to search for one.
-
I use amiga.org the most. Since I use the same handle everywhere, you all know where I go, with the exception of the Windows forums, no doubt....
-
In order of most visits:
1)Amibay
2)Eab
3)Here
Thats it!
Then the outcome would be different yeah:
1) amigascene.nl
2) Amibay
3) Here
4) EAB
5) A1K
Others I visit barely, think these are the main sites for me.
-
ann.lu is still the site I've spent most time on.
I miss that site. I used to feed my addiction mainly with it.
I wish Christian would bring it back. =[

Maybe with too much polls this forum become boring in some months but just maybe, franko is a really weird person :P

Yup totally weird... no ones forcing you take part in the polls are they or even comment on them, so why do it...
-
ok all fine... but too many polls.

Hey I don't start them all... someone else did one a few days ago... :)

Wasn't there even a poll about polls, if I remember correctly?

I think there was a poll about polls then I did a roundup of all the latest polls, now I'm working on an all time greatest poll of the polls to see which poll tops all the polls... :)
(something to look forward to eh... :) or should I have a poll on that first to see if it's a good idea... )
