Title: Pegasos + eSATA Controler PCI
Post by: radzik on December 01, 2010, 06:22:30 PM
It is possible to use eSATA Controler on PCI, for example http://cgi.ebay.pl/PCI-Controller-Karte-2x-SATA-1x-IDE-1x-eSATA-/400077418848?pt=Controller&hash=item5d2678f160 (http://cgi.ebay.pl/PCI-Controller-Karte-2x-SATA-1x-IDE-1x-eSATA-/400077418848?pt=Controller&hash=item5d2678f160) with Pegasos II and OS 4.1?

Hi, as far as I know OS4.1 supports very specific SATA controller chipsets, the drivers support Sillicon Image chipset -based  controller cards... and this one you're referring to has a VIA VT6421 chipset, I'm not sure if that one is supported.

I'll probably be able to provide a better answer tonight when I get home or... you can look for OS4.1 supported hardware list, the supported SATA chipsets should be listed.

Good luck,
