Hello,
Fabio released a short guide about translating the locale files of AMC.
I know many people are waiting for the AmigaOS and MorphOS Versions.
The AmigaOS Version will come next week and will start with Version 1.2.
The AROS Version will be updated too.
In this context i thought about a Contest without deadline. In short every member on the forum at http://www.a-mc.biz who translate the locale file to a not yet available language will get AMC for free (one license). Language files are just textfiles and really easy to translate.
Fabio opended ne subforums about channels(web-tv /radio) also this files are just textfiles. Whatever there will be official files and user created ones.
The official list will get some more channels especially for poland ; )
We got the first beta of a AMC Mason Theme which will make most AmigaOS users happy!
Regards,
Pascal
PS: Yes USB-remotes are supported on MOS and AmigaOS too : )

Translating something without context results in bad translation (word-for-word translation is certainly possible, but you really need to see the strings in action to verify the translation). Speed contests usually results in shoddy translation.
-
You can easely translate line per line.
Ahh... bad karma the forum is down : D
You can test it with the available demo version.
It is really easy. Line per line.
Just read the entry in the forum as soon it is back.

So where can I download this demo version? (hint: I don't plan installing AROS just to translate something)

The AmigaOS version is coming monday. For now we can only offer the AROS Version(demo).
I don't think it is bad because the contest has no limit.
MOS version will take a week longer (at least).
So far we have:
english
german
italian
From the userbase i would assume Norway, Poland, Finland as next candidates

I volunteer for a Spanish translation.
It is now 90% done :)
I just need to adjust context, correct spelling, and see if it fits properly

Ha wonderful! You have posted the spanish translation already in our forum.
Thanks.
