Anyone had this problem?
Cheers

How do you mean exactly? Does it hang? If so, before, during or after extractig/compressing etc?
-
Hey. Well, everything goes well, but, after the files are extracted the close gadget doesn't work.
This happends when I use the Execute command menu option, not on a shell.
-
Thats odd. I cant say I ever noticed...
BTW, you can extract lha files faster with lzx ;-)

"BTW, you can extract lha files faster with lzx ..."
Cool, I just never bothered but I'll give it a try...
-
Make sure its the registered version. The keyfile was released some time ago

I've never had problems with LHA (well, except for using it to mess up my directory structure ;), why not use it in a shell?
-
@iamaboringperson
well, too cumbersome... I prefer to double click on the file :-D

Oh come on... ;-)
The shell is the main thing I use on my Amiga these days...
Virtually, the only graphical stuff I use on the Amiga is StormC, PPaint, and a couple of games!
All the rest is done in the shell. The first thing I open when I boot the miggy? THE SHELL!! :-D

Lha window doesn't close on my system
I have the same problem on WinUAE, I am running WB3.1
If I use the execute command: lha e bla.lha
After the files are extracted I can't close the window with the close icon.
I just use the shell and it works fine.
-
I like the shell too but not for browsing directories for files... :-o have too many directories and too many files...

Try "CTRL" + "\". Worked for me, don't need to use this anymore because of VincEd :)
(but works in Vinced too)

Erm.. isn't WB the worst for that job :) Why don't you use some filemanager which would handle the archives too?

Never noticed such a problem.. BTW in DOpusMAGII you click on an archive file, and you get a window with lha file listing, then you can execute a packed program, or see a packed pic by clicking on it! cool..

cheers

Hi Jose,
use DirOpus 4.xx or, if you have OS3.9, Unarc.
By the way, when you double-click the LHA archive, wich program is called? or are you using a script?
Ciao

Some later versions of LHA have that "feature" but I can't remember the version numbers. I backed to an older version because of that bug - I even emailed to the guy who was updating LHA at that time, but I think he did quit the job.

@Mikkihii
"Try "CTRL" + "\"..."

How da heck did you find that?

It's in the manual. Very useful it is too.
I didn't realise this execute-command close-gadget problem only occured when running lha.
