Title: Macrosystem VCode Question
Post by: glitch on November 21, 2010, 05:04:01 PM
Hello Everyone,

I have recently uncovered an external "Macrosystem VCode RGB to CVBS and Y/C Coder" in my big box of Amiga stuff.  I have been cleaning out my basement and putting stuff up on eBay recently.  Found a ton of old bit and pieces.

Anyway, has anyone had experience with this item?  I don't think I have any hardware to test this on as after reading the pamphlet that came with it - it states it wants to be connected to a "Retina, Opal Vision or Amiga".  By "Amiga"  I am assuming it needs a 15KHz signal to the 15 pin ports - all I have is an A2000 with a Microway AGA-2000 flicker fixer which is of course at ~31KHz.  I don't have a 23 Pin to 15 pin adapter.  I am thinking the output of an A3000 or off of some RTG card would be preferred to test.

Are there any other things I could test this device with before I put it up on eBay?  I don't mind sending it to someone in Ontario to test - or if someone wants to buy it as is I suppose...

Anyone help a brutha out?
