Title: A4000 buster
Post by: Darrin on November 14, 2010, 10:56:19 PM
HI folks,

I've been having some issues with the Deneb and FastATA4000 connected to the Mediator busboard in my A4000 and I think that they could be related to the Buster chip.  Is there a piece of software that can report the version of the chip I have installed, otherwise  I've got to remove all of my PCI/Zorro cards and remove the Mediator to inspect the chip.

I've looked on Aminet and found nothing.  Sysinfo and other similar programs don't seem to do it.

Cheers.

All 4000T's have buster 11.

You've got a T right?

Hi Guys,

I have an A4000D, but fitted into an Elbox tower.  Chances are that it is a 9, but I was trying to confirm it without taking apart the Mediator (all those damn screws, etc) before buying a revision 11.

Back to work today for 3 weeks.... I'll take a screwdriver to it when I get home.

Cheers.  :)

From the CLI didn't the version Command identify Chip revisions. I remember it knowing about the different Agnus versions.

There is no utility that i know of, i just ran piru's whichamiga on my A4000d and it tells gary,alice,paula,ramey,lisa,604e and kickstart revisions... everything but the buster LOL

So how about it piru? would it be possible to add the buster revision info to your fine utility?

LOL.  Glad it isn't just me then.  I could "read" all of the revisions on the major chips except my Buster.  Perhap it is just one of the few that needs the Mk1 Eyeball...  :D
