Title: How to automount HDs with Cyberstorm
Post by: chusete on November 14, 2010, 07:46:02 PM
Hello amigans...

I haven't experience with SCSI.

I have a CyberStorm 060/PPC and I want to install a SCSI HD.

Using "Unit Control" (a Phase5 soft) I can see the HD:

Board 0 Unit 15 Lun 0 ST380013 3AS 8.12

With the software SCSICONFIG, I can create partitions, set the boot partiton, etc ...   I can't see the SCSI HD with hdtoolbox.

The problem is:  Now I must boot the amiga with an IDE HD, then use Unit Control and mount the SCSI HD manually.

I want to boot from the SCSI HD.  What I'm doing wrong?

Thank you

The CSPPC uses "cybppc.device" for the SCSI.
Force, or select (depending on hdtoolbox version) that device and it should show up.

Also check the SCSI-settings in the bootmenu by pressing "ESC" after a softreset. Maybe force "automount"?

In the CyberStorm's boot menu I can select the unit 15, but not the LUN0, the options are:  NO-LUNs , LUN1, LUN2... etc and my HD is LUN0.

I'll try with cybppc.device in HDTOOLBOX.

Try changing the unit of the drive to 6

It works!

Now is set as Unit 6 - LUN 1...   the real LUN is 0, but setting it as LUN 1 in the boot menu, works.

What a difference!  now my Amiga flies!

Thank you Tension
