So, I came and went a long time ago, and this is actually my 60th post, if I recall correctly.
Anyways, I may have achieved a small amount of notoriety on here for being an Atari fanboy.... most notably posting the video of an Amiga in a trashcan.
Well, there comes a time when you grow older, you put away childish things....
...you sell your ST, and fix your Amiga.

It's good to be back. :)

I bet Karlos could uncapitalize that "ST" in your username. ;)
-
And I'm sure Seth Green could shave off that goatee... ;)
But would you really want him to?
I think I'll keep the capital ST. :P

Or replace the ST with FAIL!

Really nice Amiga system you have there and welcome back!
Since fixing up your system, what all have you been doing with it? Have you got 1MB RAM in that A500 and OS 1.3? Any other goodies hiding inside of there?
-
And I suppose many enjoyed bashing the ST as well. It's really not a bad machine, just not quite up to par with Amiga.
-
Oh yeah that poor lonley Atari ST in Baabages at the mall. I remember, walking right past it to gawk at all the Commodore stuff!
But it did have midi on board, that right? Pretty cool back then. Did they have trackers?

Welcome!

Welcome back! It's great that you're off the porch and back running with the Big Dogs!

Great A500 setup. Looks really classic, but still timeless somehow.

To answer questions:
Ah, yes, Kickstart 1.3, 1MB (512k chip, 512k slow), NTSC/PAL switch, I should bump it up to 1MB chip ram, but...surprisingly, I haven't yet hit a memory ceiling. Maybe I haven't tried to do enough with it :D
I do have the empty sockets though...
I consider sometimes upgrading to an ECS Denise, but...eh. Would it really let me do that much more, I wonder...
And thanks for the compliments. All original stuff is quite nice to have :)
And yes, at one time or another, most of this was "broken". This is the very same A500 I showed in the trashcan...
-
It's hard to find enough to run on OS 1.3 to fill up the memory. Most of the cool stuff needs 2.0+.
-
Looking good, looking real good! Nice to see setups like that :)
-
you just trying get around us by posting amiga with hot girl... and working a treat

I totally agree. The 500 system is very special to me, too.
It's hard for me to not add fast ram or OS2.1 or greater, though.
Oh, welcome back.
