Do you use other websites to share your Amiga knowledge and experiences and only use Amiga.org to post your auctions, sales, trades, or ask about other members auctions, sales, or trades of Amiga equipment?
Don't take this the wrong was as a complaint, it is not. I am just curious because I have never seen a forum post from you that is NOT concerning a auction, sale, or trade on Amiga.org. I then did a quick search and confirmed that all 415 posts you have ever written here were all concerned with something you were trying to sell, auction, trade, or purchase from someone here.
There is nothing wrong with that, but I am sure an Amiga user like yourself must have something to share with the community and it made me wonder why you don't do so here, or if you share your Amiga experiences and opinions only on another Amiga related website?
If you are not an Amiga user, just someone who buys and sells Amiga gear and software, that is okay too, as I am sure your buyers are thankful to you for finding and selling them the items they wanted (unless you have been portraying yourself to be something that you are not to help with your sales). I am just curious. Do you care to tell us a bit more about yourself?

Allocvec = Christian Hoppe (sp?) and is indeed a looooong time Amiga user. First met him on Usenet way back in the mid-late 90's. Incredible all the stuff he seems to get his hands on though and I appreciate him giving us a heads up over here as to his wares. Usually even has an English section describing his German auctions. In the past, he's been an extremely amicable guy to deal with. If he has something you'd like, drop him a line and I bet he'd be willing to work with you on it...

Its just me ;) I am from Germany and so I am active mostly in german forums. English is not my native language (and I am not very good with it). If my posts here are annoying, I would ask a moderator to tell me so.
I have one of the biggest collections of amiga hardware here in germany and I have to get rid of some items (merely doublettes) frequently due to space reasons (and my wife, who looks of my collection with risen eyebrowse ;) ).
So I do not want to rise any anger, but I simply have not the time to be active in this forum as well. If you want to, I can give you my nick on http://www.a1k.org.

Let me guess, you can't cut a path through your basement without selling stuff ....

Well, actually you are right ;) You even have been at my home (remember?), but we were only in the living room (for exact the reason above).

Meep, wrong we were in the basement too .....
But as I told you than, your collection is mere joke compared to the guy living somewhere near you with whom I traded in 2002.
You wouldn't been able to stuff his stuff into a large overseas-container (40ft ??).
And no I still don't remember his name or address ;(

Oops, sorry, then you know what I mean with "space reasons" :)

There are a few other collectors which have a larger collection than mine and a few I am "jealous" for their completion. But I love my collection and my amigas here. I hope I have never to do a move overseas, but I have "stuffed" my 25m2 room with all kind of amiga-items and some older workstations (SUN, SGI, IBM, HP). Not to forget my work-computers and my two 19"-racks filled with computers. Now you knwo why my wife rises her eyebrowses everytime a parcel with new-old stuff arrives here ;)

The "overseas container" was just hint at the size of his collection That would be about 50m^3 in volume, neatly packed with leaving the monitors outside.
Think of house twice as big as yours, stuffed computer-room on the upper floor, attic cramped with spare parts and a full basement (not just a single room) filled to the ceiling with goodies in orginal packaging ( there was a stack of no less than 5 A1000s in one room).
-
I've dealt with AllocVec recently and would not hesitate to do so again.

There are always people that are more crazy than me (well but 5 A1000s can be towered up here too ;) ). If I had more room, who knows ;)
-
Some days I envy those people with enough time, space&money for such a collection.
All the other days I fear what would happen if I had the time, space&money ....

I had a garage and a bedroom so full of stuff I couldn't walk through them. Kind of made me sick thinking about it, so I cleared most of it out. Still too many odds and ends lying around to keep track of it all though.

Similar here (except the sickness ;) ). But my son just thought about changing rooms with me. That would improve my place situation :)

@AllocVec,
No complaint about your posts here at Amiga.org at all. Thanks for the history and additional information by yourself and other members here, and I don't blame you for spending most of your time on German forum sites where you can use your native language instead of English. I would do the same if I were you. My post was 99% curiosity and only 1% concern that you were just a computer gear buyer/seller with no real ties to using any Amiga computers.
