Evening all, been trying to get my Cyberstorm III Scsi working for a while now.
It was working nicely at one time, but the A4000 itself went off to have some work done, the Cyberstorm stayed here. It hasn't worked since, the problems I have are:
No drives are seen when using scsi-enquire, on cybppc.device.
I'm trying with 2 different scsi drives, With the HP plugged in, the machine will not start, though early boot and cyberstorm boot menus are available.
With the Fujitsu, machine boots, though no drives are seen.
I did get one error requester saying there was a problem with Unit 6 on the scsi chain (both drives are unit 0) but that was only once in about an hour of tinkering.
Any insights appreciated :)
Robert.

I would start with checking the cables, termination and the SCSI settings in the CyberStorm boot menu. Try setting them to default and see if it starts up.

Hey Docq
I have tried 2 different Scsi cables, one is brand new. Also both cables are terminated at each end, although interestingly enough, the HP drive doesn't spin up unless I remove one of the teminators!
Is there an option in the CS boot menu to set defaults?
Robert.

Nope, no option to restore to default settings unfortunately. You can change all those options that gives you the auto possiblity to auto, and have each device to have 8 luns. IIRC that's the default option for the SCSI menu.
If you want to have default settings for the card, all you can do is to reflash the card.
