Title: Legit Amiga CD?
Post by: sjprohaska on October 29, 2010, 10:31:48 PM
I just received my Amiga OS 3.9 cd from softhut.  The inserts look like they were printed with an inkjet printer.  The cd itself looks to be a cd-r with a sticker label.  Is this normal or legit?

Thanks

Don't know about legitimacy (perhaps they secured permission to reproduce them?) but the originals (there were 2 of 'em) were silver CD's with your typical silk-screened label. Same with the inserts. Professional looking glossy J-card and insert stock.

Reminds me of when I purchased Tripods (BBC television series) off a guy on ePay. Said they were originals, etc. Sho' nuff', they weren't. They were copies as you described your 3.9CD as. Pretty schlocky when you're sold something as original, but it isn't.
