Title: CDTV WinUAE Emulation ... How to?
Post by: AmigaEd on October 23, 2010, 04:09:42 PM
Greetings,

I'm just wondering if there is some kind of guide available which explains how to get CDTV emulation working under WinUAE.

I did a search here and on google but didn't come up with anything really helpful.

Regards,

AFAIK CDTV emulation does not work yet. You can see the intro animation but CDs are not loaded. You can use CD32 instead. Anyway, just select the desired model from the Quickstart menu and click on start.

Well, at first I couldn't get it to boot CDTV at all. Then I decided that it was time to upgrade to WinUAE 2.3.0

Now I do get the CDTV intro stuff as mentioned by Thomas, but could not get it to load a CD or ISO image.

I tried CD32 but for some reason I couldn't get it to boot anything. Just got a pulsating black screen with this one.

Ed

Does anyone actually know if CDTV in WinUAE works or not?

When looking over the bug fixes for WinUAE 2.3.1 it kind of sounds like it must be functioning to some extent.

it does work, I load the iso in daemon tools first (virtual cdrom) then load cdtv in winuea. the cdtv titles boot.
