Title: Deneb V10 Firmware?
Post by: Marcb on October 19, 2010, 06:29:20 AM
Hi,

I've seen some posts around talking about V10 firmware for Deneb but don't seem to be able to locate it anywhere...

Does anyone have a link they could post?

Cheers,
Marc

Hmm, never noticed that, but you are correct.

From FAQ..

I want to operate clockport card XYZ on DENEB!          In general we recommend to upgrade the DENEB firmware to the latest revision (V10 or higher) in   that case.
  This firmware emulates the clockport of a Xsurf (from individual computers) in hardware. No driver adaptions   are needed by this emulation, as long as there is a driver for the Xsurf clockport. Depending on your   system configuration it may be needed to adjust your TCP/IP settings, as the "virtual" Xsurf may occupy unit   number 0, while the "real" Xsurf (I you have one) gets unit number 1. In this case please change the unit number   in your TCP/IP stack accordingly.

However, ya, V9 is the only one I know of.  Something you are trying to fix?  What's the issue?

For Zorro II Amigas is any difference between V8 and V9 update? Which is better?

There is no V9 ZORRO II update. V9 update is for ZORRO III only.
But in general it's good to have latest firmware even if you will not see any difference in your A2000+ZORRO II system.

Looks like they are (were) poised to release a V10 from the FAQ web page but only Michael Boehmer will be able to tell us for sure.

So I should install V9 for ZIII or V8 for ZII for my Deneb in A2000?

@Radzik,
Yes.
Who knows, maybe you will have A4000 in the future ;-)
