I have am able to get one of these to use for my setup (A4000T), which one is better?
Nec Multisync 3D
CEI 1962
Commodore 1942
Any input is appreciated
thanks

The 1942 is a bi-sync monitor (~15KHz and ~30KHz, nothing in between) so Super72 isn't an option (24KHz), nor is HighGFX. It does, however, have built-in speakers.
I used a 1962 for several years. Very nice for Amiga modes and basic RTG modes, but it can't handle much above 1024x768.
I have no experience with the Nec.

The NEC 3D works good. It just won't do high crazy resolutions. Works good in NTSC/VGA productivity modes.

I've used the same NEC 3D for about 15 years, and it still works fine. I think it has the smallest screen of the bunch though. (none mentioned are really big)
My 1942, while it had a good display, died about two years ago, after roughly 8 years.
Never used a 1962,
Hope all this helps.....

I had an NEC 3D and AFAIR it showed all amiga modes and a good number of RTG resolutions as well. The scan lines seem to be more visible though. Its a good Amiga monitor.

If it helps at all, I use a C= 1950 and it works in every screen mode I throw at it - even highgfx. It looks like the 1962 is similar???

Looks like it will be the 1962 then, will test out this weekend
