I enjoy programming for AROS ATM and sometimes booting in my A1, A4000. A3000 or A1200. With all the negativity and infighting in the Amiga fora I seem to be the only one left to be able to enjoy his Amiga. Is this correct ?
greets,
Staf.
PS: I prefer Brussels Sprouts over Broccoli.

Can I vote more than once? Because some of the options are not mutually exclusive - e.g. I enjoy my Amigas as well as being negative and starting flamewars.
That's half the fun :D

I was enjoying my Morphos Mac Mini until last week. Then the mac's fan started pushing air at record speeds. It's impossible to stop the fan while the mac is plugged in now. And it won't turn on no matter how many times or how long I press the button. I think it's dead.
I've had a string of bad luck. My Amiga 2000 started pushing up the silicon last December just as I was testing my entry for the Christmas game contest.
PS. Where's the vote option for broccoli? :-)
-
Yeah I enjoy my Amiga's, but currently I'm a bit overworked and haven't touched one of them in weeks.
The only thing I did was removing the battery from my A500 plus because the board hasn't been damaged by the battery.
But every time I play on them I always enjoy it, but eventually I have to do other things and it's off again.

I voted yes as it was the closest to the truth, which is probably something like "usually". Every now and then some impatience and/or frustration kicks in with AROS (my ng "amiga" system of choice, although the same would apply regardless of which "ng" system I chose as it's the lack of good alternatives to software I use regularly on Windows that's the cause), so I go back to OS3.x for some creative retro fun for a while when this happens. Unfortunately, after a while I start missing things that os3.x lacks compared to AROS too, so I spend a bit of time going back and forward, but never being completely content. Once uae intergration is a little more mature I'll be a happy man :-) (although having said that it works nicely for a lot of stuff already).
-
I do. They are fun.
-
Well sure - doesn't every one on this site?
-
I have no patience for fiddling with things to get to (modern) basic functionality so I don't do anything but the basic things on Amiga. I know some people are totally retro, but I just like retro with modern conveniences.

This poll is invalid. There's no pancakes option :)

I still use mine on an almost daily basis :)

I use my 3000T every day and will continue till it dies or they make it impossible for me to connect to the WWW

YES.
I enjoy them all for many reasons. Simply booting into Workbench and loading a module player is worthy of the word enjoyment! :-) If it gives me 'that tingly feeling', I'll continue to use it.

Yup Love my miggys

I still have a few disks of modules and games for amiga but i aint touched one for years.
had a little dabble with emulation and icaros, have fond memories of amiga as its the first powerful
computer i had and the first computer i got online with, what trouble i had getting an isp to work with it.
all i use now is windows, do i miss amiga, well yes and no.

'Course I enjoy Amigas...
Although enjoy doesn't mean the same it used to... Enjoy used to mean had fun running a BBS, programming and playing Wing Commander / Elite..
The machines themselves are still the same as they were 20 years ago, obviously I don't like change much.:D
BTW: Compliments to the original poster for the correct usage of plurals. ( Oh God I'm getting old )

yes have to agree with all the posts well when you have use for the machine there still great l guess just finding the software that alows this ..
think of the options l prefer using hardware to emulation not thats anything wrong with the latter.

YES!
I use my amigas when I can, it's been a while since I last turned on my A1200T, but I use the A1200D to run games and some apps... though most of my time is spent on my "NG" amiga, a Pegasos II that runs MorphOS 2.6, AmigaOS4.1u2 and openSUSE Linux...
Amigas will always be enjoyable for me!
Cheers,
Dragster

Not like they should be.
Since my A3000T VT meltdown several years back, the fun of using one diminished with the loss of a lot of graphics work, LW models, textures and countless hours of renders. Not to mention configuring the system hardware and software setups. Tried to rebuild and replace, but the enjoyment just wasn't there. Photoshop became the holy grail of imaging. The Playstation satisfied my gaming needs.
I visit the girls down in the cold basement room where they are kept under covers and occasionally fire them up, tinker around until a guru happens or the cat jumps up onto the keyboard chasing the mouse pointer on the monitor screen...

Nope... your not the only one left, for well over 20 years now & right up to this present day the Amiga has and always will be, the only computer I enjoy using... :)

I dont get to use my Amigas as much as I want to, and I have a ton of them. My most usefull amigas are my 3000 on my desk and my 1200 which I can carry around. But the one that I have lately 'enjoyed' the most is my 1000 on another desk. Something about the 1000 when you get some expansions (I have some sound samplers, a Starboard 2, a SCSI controller and a graphics tablet). I was thumbing through an Amiga tips book and stumbled across some A1000 tips I recall my friend using in the day. Programs like LED which turned off a sound filter making sound better on the 1000 and dimming the power light so you knew it was running and it brought me right back to when I had a C64 and my friend had a 1000. I'd go over to his house and we'd play all kinds of Amiga games which eventually got me to get my 500.

I enjoy listening to music using the module player. The music then is awesome and it still is today. I love it so much, I installed the module player app on to my ipod touch! :)

Well sorta seems like a silly question but I answered YES anyway. A large part of the reason Amiga users come to pages like this is because they enjoy using their machines and are still learning more about them, upgrading them, and repairing them when need be. I really feel that Amiga.org and Amigaworld.net are fantastic helpful Amiga resourses, and I'm very thankful to have them. Long Live Amiga!

Do I still enjoy my Amiga? A resounding YES!! I use my miggies for tape/DVD labeling, digitising, all manner of graphics work, and 3D rendering (yes, in fact, I do have a lot of spare time... LOL!) Oh, been calling BBS's a lot more often lately. I'm not so much into Amiga games nowadays....but I'll play a few 'classics' on occasion.....
In fact, even if all I have to do is type up a short note, I'll prolly still use my A1200T.... I've got the 1200T up, and Wordworth loaded by the time I see the 'Welcome' screen on my XP machine.....
