I'm running AsimCDFS version 2.5. It use to work fine but now that I started using it again it doesn't see certain CD roms. Amiga Format & CU Amiga roms are spit right back out.
Gamers Delight fires right up.
Any suggestions? It has been 10 years since I've used this program
Thanks

Maybe the installation has gotten corrupted? Have you tried re-installing ASIMware. I have never seen/had this problem, so this just a guess.

I'd suspect hardware before software, especially if the drive is kicking the discs out. Maybe your CD drive is getting picky.

I thought that myself, it is an ancient Plextor scsi drive, the wierd thing is the CD's that work work perfectly on the 1st try, the ones that don't never do.

I will reinstall the software and see what happens.
Here is hoping the floppy works haha

Can you try Asim 3.10? Probably a lot of bug fixes and compatability improvements since 2.5.

This is very true. The newer you can use, the better. Apparently a lot of bugs were squashed in V2.8, so I would at least use that if possible.
The comment about the drive may well have hit the nail on the head though... Can you swap it out?

No the CD Drive sounds consistent. i reckon itZ dA AmEeGa.

I bought an updated on Ebay but was ripped off. Any chance aminent might have a real copy?

The plextor CD drive is built like a tank and has seldom been used.
It is just certain CD roms it doesn't reconize, maybe those are only suppose to be booted from.
I've been really busy but will play with it some more.
