Hi Everyone,
I am NOT looking for a painting program that uses HAM mode. There was one and aparently only one painting program which not only let the artist work with in indexed color mode, but ALSO let the user designate vertical "slices" of the screen where they can MANUALLY change the colors of some of the indexes.
I've tried downloading every classic amiga graphics program I can find and none of them are it. I hoping someone out there is using knows what it's called.
thanks much.

No idea what the painting program was, but I always thought that allowing Copper driven palette changes in the image would have been very neat in the old indexed bitmap applications (although making zoom, etc, work would have been a pain I'm sure).

The graphics mode was called SHAM or Sliced HAM but I haven't been able to find the program that supported it. There was a note in the IFF standard about embedding Copper lists into the IFF ILBM file format, but that was deprecated when AGA came out.
