Does anyone know if this combination is likely to work with the prism2 driver?
Since I need to install a TCP/IP stack would the recently made free Termite TCP/IP do?
Have I missed anything else I need to set up (e.g. WEP/WPA configuration files)?
Thanks,
Benjamin

Hi,
Not quite sure what you mean, but i doubt a compact flash adapter+a cf style network card would work, but then again, just try it.I would go for a orinoco gold, silver, bronze card, or compaq wl110,plentifull and cheap.use the prisim 2 driver with miami3.2 or better yet miamiDX1.0c (termite was just for using ppp thru dialup if i recall right).
Olaf is working hard to get roadshow ready, that will be another alternative hopefully soon.

I was hoping for a 100% free TCP/IP stack something completely open source or at least given to the community. If I knew the Amiga ins and outs a bit better I'd be tempted to write a free stack myself... probably only support the basics but for a A500/A600 you probably just want the basics anyway.
Makes me not want to bother trying to get my old machines IP networked, it's just too much effort and cost for little reward. :(

Use Miami Deluxe - http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/MiamiDx10cmain
Use the key - http://www.fatcat.vispa.com/keyring/
Use one of these cards - http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54496
Use this driver - http://aminet.net/package/driver/net/3c589
Unless you just want to make things hard on yourself...

The first two will be very useful thanks :) but I steadfastly will not be using wired because I stupidly sold my old 3com 589d pcmcia on ebay for the price of a couple of beers about a fortnight before I started using my Amiga again not realising it was one of the compatible ones or thinking I'd need it. *sigh* I guess everyone has days like that!

AmigaKit should be able to help you sort that in short order. Provided you still have the beer money ;)

I've used both CF ethernet and wireless cards with PCMCIA adapters on A600 and A1200, as long as the chip is supported there should be no problem.

Brilliant... I'll crack on with that sometime next week :) Ebay is full of cheap prism based 802.11b only cf wifi adapters so I guess this info has just expanded the range of adapters people can (potentially) use. I got mine a year ago for my Sharp Zaurus that only had an old Linux kernel and first gen wireless drivers.
I'll post back in a week or so when I've had the chance to try it out :)
