I guess the "Kids In Need" program didn't pan quit the way the manufacturer had hoped...

There's always an issue with these knock offs in some way. The odd incompatability, sound or graphic clitches in some games and the pads are of poorer quality. With so many original Nintendo units out there just go for one of them.

Nice find though, I haven't seen that one before.

These are very common in Atlantis.

If anyone's interested, I'm selling these for $24.99, but Commodore branded!

I had a red and white one that came in a case exactly like the one in the picture. While I had not graphical issues, I did have at least one game that would not load (Kirby) and the sound quality sucked hard on most games.

Too expensive.

For $16.65 I bought Portable Hamy Pocket Nintendo NES clone (http://hirudov.com/nintendo/Hamy-Pocket-Game.php), with two cardridges and external adaptor. It connects to TV and I have yet to replace the original batteries, but now when I have the right jack I play it from electricity.

If you go to a local sunday carboot sale you are very likely to find an ORIGINAL Nintendo NES with controllers and a bunch of games included for cheaper.

I guess this is more evidence about how times change...

"Kids in need"...

My father was a kid in the 1930's during the depression. He barely had two sticks to rub together. He never mentioned needing a Nintendo. Of course, an Amiga was always welcome.

P.S. I agree with dougal, my son and I once picked up three of these for ten dollars (total) at a yard sale.
