Title: Links directory issue fixed - please confirm
Post by: Karlos on September 11, 2010, 12:31:21 AM
Hi all,

As some of you are no doubt aware, the links directory hasn't been working properly for some time: See here. (http://www.amiga.org/forums/project.php?issueid=66)

I think I may have solved the issue, but would appreciate if people would test out the links and make sure their browsers are correctly redirected, rather than getting a 403 on the showlink.php for their troubles.

And totally OT, Karlos I love your track 'Mashup'! Pls, let us know when you have more tracks to check out... :hammer:

I picked a bunch of links at random, seems to work ok here.

Good stuff. I suspect the bug workaround is ok. There may be some pages in the links section that need the same fix applying but so far I didn't find any.

LOL! Where did you even find it? That track was a bit of a one off as it was an experimentation in making a tune out of big 16-bit samples triggered over MIDI. Basically my old A1200 desktop running OctaMED soundstudio and a serial link to my A1200T running MidiIn where the samples were loaded. The output (Paula at 14-bit 48kHz) was captured on my old PC.

It's working for me, too.

Jolly good. I've marked the issue resolved. If anybody finds any 403's that are still on amiga.org (ie before the redirect) in the links section, please let me know.

Cheers.

Drat, I spoke too soon. I noticed just now that the "newest 5" section has the same problem. I won't be able to look at that until tonight.

Memory fading, Karlos?  Actually, I found the link to DL the song in one of your posts here...... Thanks for the info... my passion is Amiga graphics, but I'd like to get into music on my miggies someday....

OK, I'll check more links out......
