Hi everyone,
Need some information about that:
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=508
"The Prime Image is a full length Zorro II, TBC (Time Base Corrector), Processing Ampl and standards converter. The Prime Image is also capable of transcoding between YC video and framestore, as well as PAL, PAL-M, NTSC, NTSC 4.43 and SECAM. Apparently it's possible to use this card in conjunction with a video toaster to effectively give you a PAL toaster. A remote control was also available as an option."[/i]
Thank you.

Yes, in theory it allows you to use your Video Toaster in PAL modes, the same goes for the GVP TBC+. Both are "old school" professional transcoders.

You are going to have a hard time finding that board. I've only seen 1 or 2 in all my years of Amiga work. But, someone here might has one :)

Yep, I know it's in THEORY!! :)
An AMIGA user from Italy has managed to operate the Video Toaster in "PAL", but it does not answer my messages. :(
I think he's using GVP TBC as you mention. If you know how to proceed, I'll be interested to have more informations. Thank you.

Yep, I know, I've never seen the PRIME IMAGE for sale or topic thread, since over two years. :(

It's been a long time, and i hope you figured this out. But nevertheless, i was reading the 1993 Issue 14 of Video Toaster User, and they had an article titled "Toaster goes international". There's been mention of the Prime Image TBC, with very good results!
Here's a bit of the text:
At the Montreux exhibit, Prime Image demonstrated its Stnd/Con TBC in a Toaster System. Two standards converting TBCs were used on two video input channels to convert a PAL signal to NTSC so that they could be
processed by the Toaster. A thlrd standards converting tbc was used at the Toaster's output to convert back to PAL.
Response was so encouraging that KeIper International, a New York-based international equipment distributor, plans to build 1,000 Toaster 4000 systems that use a minimum of three Prime Image Std/Con TBCs for sale in Europe, South America, and the Pacific Rim.
Although this example shows the use of three (3) tbc's, it proves that it has been done. However, acquiring such gear would be a miraculous task...

Hello, is true that you use the VT4000 with GVP TBC+ in PAL mode, but if you don't have the A4000 with NTSC mode enabled the VT refuse to start...
See my auction on Ebay, in these I explicated how I modified the A4000 PAL for use with VT 4000 VT Flyer and TBCplus. Link:
