Title: Close WorkBench doesn't work in some games

Hi. In Shogo and Freespace for example, this option doesn't have an effect. What can i do about it?

Are you using AGA or a graphics card?  It should only make a difference if you are using AGA as your display chips.

I'm using a graphics card. I would still like to be able to close Workbench since this will free some RAM and perhaps make the game to run slightly faster.
 Does this option work with anyone else?
