Here: http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=browse&cat=game/fps (http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=browse&cat=game/fps)

You'll need the corresponding data files from a PC version though.

Long answer: Check the documentation to see what's required. For Quake, it's the ID1 directory and pak0.pak, pak1.pak. etc.

Short answer: Install the game on a PC, copy the directory over, and throw the Amiga executable on top of it.

The thing you downloaded from OS4depot in the link I gave above?

You should download the GLQuake one from there. Assuming your graphics card is supported, that will give you the best experience. Otherwise, download the non GL version, which won't be as pretty but should work fine.

Well i downloaded the glquake from os4depot installed the original to my pc and copied the contents along with the amiga executables and burnt them to disk and tried it on the sam440 but it just crashes to the workbench i tried this with quake 3 and payback but still have the same problem. I am running just a basic sam44oep with the onboard ati and 512mb dimm do i need to down load an upto date minigl or opengl?

you need to copy the main game files pak 1 and pak 2 these are ike 200 megs each so cant miss them there should be easy to find on the net as quake 1 is open source
without these the game will crash other wise the amiga quake.conig file might need to be changed to use correct screen mode usually from memory screen.id line

the quake data files are not open source, only the game engine source code

You shouldn't have to update MiniGL. The most important thing is to install the data files in the right place. There should be a readme in the archives that you downloaded from os4depot.

For Quake3, I think that the most recent version is here (http://capehill.kapsi.fi/quake3/). You may find OpenArena easier to install and try out. Just download the Amiga executable, and the OpenArena data files, and you should be up and running pretty quickly.
