Title: HD Speed

What is the best application to measure HDD speed?

You could try DriveSpeed, its contained in the following files on the Elbox site, its fairly accurate but cli/shell only... :)

FastATA4000v25a33 (A4000 Version)

FastATA_MKIIIv88a35 (1200 Version)

Not sure if, but I think they both written in standard 68k (both work fine on an A1200)

Sysinfo 3.24 has a drive speed test, I don't know how accurate it is... I get 0.5MB/s from an A600 and 1.9MB/s from an A1200 (both internal CFs).

I'll try the link for the Fastata ones tomorrow. I d use sysinfo but always shows around 2.1 with difefrent CPUS in teh same machine. Just want to be sure of speed

Theres a reason we call it sysMISinfo   :)
