Title: hard disk for A600

What kind of Hard Disk I can use in my A600? I have one Quantum Daytona this were in a notebook designote 486dx2. Can I install this hard disk in my a600? Is compatible?

Probably.  Is it a 2.5 inch IDE hard drive?  Should work if it is.

Your best option would be to get a an IDE CF adapter and a CF acrd. You can get all for less than $20 and its great as it no noise and relatively fast

Having just done this for an A1200 and A600 I can safely say that the the CF is faster than the A600 can keep up, but probably about right for an A1200 (I'm getting reads of 1.9MB/s on the A1200).

To boot from HD you'll also need Kickstart 37.350 or greater. A lot of A600s only came with 37.299.
