Title: Scsi cd-rom
Post by: offline on August 24, 2010, 05:23:10 AM
I have a A500-HD+ for my Amiga 500.  I added a SCSI CD-ROM but I can't seem to get it to work.  If I use the HD Install Tools I can see the drive.  I am using Workbench 3.1 but when I insert a CD It never mounts it.   I believe that I need to install some software drivers to get it to work but no luck on finding out how to do this so far.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

move the CD0 from storage to devs:dosdrivers, then edit icon info for unit # and your scsi.device name.if no icon info, load CD0 with ed and edit it,resave.reboot...it should work from then on,but there are better cd filesystems out there.theres a few on aminet, might search cdfs or cd

Try AmiCDFS, it's the quickest CDFS I have found, and it even works with USB DVD drives. It will be the best CDFS to use for your A500 and SCSI CD drive too.
