Title: Paula Emulation
Post by: AmiBoy on November 30, 2003, 09:37:05 AM
Hi All

This is just a quick question about how hard it would be to emulate/pass through Paula audio through a soundcard. Im not talking about emulating AGA as a whole just the Audio. Paula was not that specialsied sound chip was it?
This is just for those games that are RTG compatible but not RTA e.g. Payback and The Shadow of the Third Moon

Thanks
Mark

I just made a dirty (but working) hack last night by connecting a cable to the (paulas) RCA connectors from inside the case. Other end is plugged in my Delfina Flipper aux-in.

Also if you want to play MODs or other weird moduleformats thru soundcard, see uade-0.80.tar.bz2 (http://uade.ton.tut.fi/uade/uade-0.80.tar.bz2)

Hi fragment

the same here with my RepulseGold . . .quite and simple.

You can do the job, with all Amiga soundcard as well. (use a free internal input connector)

When an Amiga Paula output is active, it will be redirected to the soundcard output as is. (throughput).

If (as all) the soundcard has a Mixer/Preference GUI, you must enable the related soundcard input line (and its level). i.e AUX-IN, VIDEO-IN, CDROM-IN etc.
