Who is going to the AmiWest 2010 Show this October? It should be the best show in several years with exciting news and demonstrations of new hardware and software. Being the year of Amiga's 25th Anniversary, I hope many of you will attend this year's show and banquet dinner.
It is going to be a great time! I will be running the Amiga Game Competition again this year and it will be even better than last year. Anyone wishing to donate to the prizes given out to the winners of the Amiga Game Competition, please contact me via PMail, or my regular email address.
Hope to see you all there!

I will be showing MorphOS2.5, or 2.6 if it is finished by then on my 1.5GHz G4 MacMini and my Efika again this year. If MorphOS2.6 is finished before the show and if it has support for the MDD G4 PowerMac's, I will also be showing it on one of those.
There is no definite word from the MorphOS Development Team about when MorphOS2.6 will be finished, or what it will support, though there have been many comments by some of the MorphOs Dev. Team members in various forums that would indicate that support for the G4 PowerMac will be in the next release and that 2.6 should be out within the next few months. As always with any software development, time lines can shift to later dates when problems, or changes in work schedules occur.
Obviously I am hoping to be able to buy and install MorphOS2.6 on my G4 PowerMac before the show, but I am just another user and I don't have any inside information that the rest of you don't know, or can't find just as well.
Oh, I almost forgot (because it hasn't arrived at my door yet), but I will also be showing MorphOS2.5 running on the 1.25GHz G4 eMac at the show. In fact I just now decided that the eMac will be one of the prizes available to the winners of the Amiga Game Competition that I am running again this year. It will be loaded with the demo version of MorphOS2.5, so the winner will still need to purchase the license key for MorphOS, but it still is not a bad prize for sitting down and playing some of your favorite Amiga games for half an hour or so!
So, I hope that adds a little more incentive for some of you to come to AmiWest 2010 this Oct. It is going to be the most Amiga fun you can have this Summer/Fall!
Again, hope to see many of you at the show.
Edit: Still looking for other donations to the prize pool for the Amiga Game Competition winners. Contact me via email, or PMail.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. The cost of going is too prohibitive for me. Perhaps next year. I wish I could go, though! :)
