Hi
Not had an image since I was 15, so I want onto ebay and purchased a nice Amiga 1200. The system arrived, looked very nice, clean no yellow etc. All was going well until I connected the power. A blue flash and a crackle and nothing.
I’ve changed the fuse inside the power supply and multimetered the power, nothing is coming out.
My parents still have my old 500, will this power supply work? Is there a common problem which cause the system to blow? I don’t want to toast any more power supplies if I can help it. Are there any alternatives?
Many thanks

It should work.. I'm using an A600 P/S on my A1200.

I'm using my old A500 power supply on my 1200 without any problems

Would like to get an idea what caused the supply to blow. Given the state of the fuse, a major short circuit has occured (tube cloudy black)
