Title: CatWeasel Mk2 on a Linux PC: Success!
Post by: Ezrec on August 14, 2010, 04:12:32 PM
[originally posted on classicamiga.com]

I have, with some pointers from Jens Schoenfeld, been able the get Karsten Scheibler's "cw" Linux kernel module and "cwtool" tool to be able to use a CatWeasel Mk2 Anniversary Edition on a PC.

Why not get a Mk3/Mk4 you ask? Well, I don't have any PCI ports on my development box (shakes fist at Mini ITX case), but I do have an unused PATA IDE connector.

With the help of a modified 40-pin IDE cable (that swaps pins 37 and 37), I am now able to read and write ADF files to 3.5 DD disks on my PC via the CatWeasel Mk2!
