Anyone seen any Amiga emulator projects for Andoird OS? I'd love to be able to run some of the classics right on my Android. I'm not sure how the control would be. Perhaps, I'll need to start working on a bluetooth Atari Joystick. 8^)

If you have an Android device, its only a search away on the market.
(UAE4DROID can be found searching for "amiga" on the market)

Thanks, I must have fat fingered typing Amiga in Swype. 8^)
I'll get that today. I can't wait to get some of those classics up and running. I wonder what portable Lemmings will be like.

Not sure of what you can do with these new phones, but can you Telnet on one?

Yep... thanks for bringing that up, neat way for me to try out your BBS :)

Let me know how it looks... Viewing a BBS on 80x23 on a cell phone with a nice size screen can't be to bad.

You can ssh. Telnet is insecure, don't use it ;)

Well I wouldn't use it for banking, but for his BBS, it's fine...
I reconnected to try out other graphics modes to see which works best on the phone, but now I'm not getting the logo graphics, and the screen is overwriting itself. Might be this client, so I'll try out another one.
Edited earlier post with a screenshot of the first connection btw...

Already have it on my droid. You can d/l it from the market. I keep forgetting to put an image a ROM on it tho so haven't actually used it. Think I will try to tonight and maybe post a pic or two. Also there is a remake of the Amiga game Deflector on the market, it is pretty fun for free:). Also the Amiga emulater is called UAE4Droid

I used to have PocketUAE on my HP iPaq, that had a 400Mhz Xscale CPU and nothing much in respect to gfx hardware, but was comfortable to emulate an A500 quite well (not audio though)... So modern smart phones have more than enough grunt to emulate an amiga... The big problem is that amiga software is so difficult to use with a touchscreen...

Allright!!
Now we have:
- UAE4DROID for Android
- UAE4All Symbian for Symbian s60v3
- PocketUAE for WinMobile Pro/Classic
- iPhone - Apple regulation forbid emulation
- WebOS - too little share
- Symbian UIQ - not sure if enough % but should be easy to convert Symbian UAE4All to UIQ
- Blackberry... I hope someone would (as I own one right now)
This is great. UAE covers quite sensible smartphone share as target
